COMING SOON! Maartje De Man!

Hello from Fish and Chips World!
On the eve of our second round of kid's workshops in cooperation with the European youth organisation JEF, we thought we would share with you an upcoming programme feature that we have in store!
Commencing in just a week's time we shall be unveiling our next emerging fashion designer in our rotating New Designer Showcase.
Maartje De Man is a new start-up label and BA (Hons) Fashion, Textiles and Fibre graduate from the Winchester School of Art. Dutch designer, Maartje, who relocated to the UK from the Netherlands in 2004 to pursue her studies, most recently presented her first solo collection at Alternative Fashion Week 2010 and now works within the industry between London and The Netherlands.
AFW is an initiative operated by publicly funded arts organisation, ‘Alternative Arts’, that showcases more than 70 new global designers at Spitalfields, East London. Following her debut graduate collection titled ‘Proud to be Fout’ her current collection features bold, colourful garments encapsulating a South American influence, clashing prints and national dress. He defiance over the ‘Size Zero’ debate sees her presenting collections that are accessible to all women ranging from sizes 6-16 in her quest to see more ‘average’ women gracing the catwalks and magazines.
Be sure to visit the freiraum quartier21 INTERNATIONAL in the MuseumsQuartier Wien to catch a look at Maartje's wonderful work! We look forward to having her as part of Fish and 'Chips, Twice Please?!' and be sure you don't miss her week long presentation!
Love
Team Fish and Chips
