'Story Time in Vienna': Live Photoshoot from Alexander Jordan!

Evening from Fish and Chip Land!
We are super excited to reveal the images from a recent 'Live Photoshoot' that British photographer Alexander Jordan carried out within the 'Fish and Chips, Twice Please?!' exhibition!
As part of our accompanying programme he collaborated with a team from
both the UK and Vienna and spent the day offering an interactive experience for visitors to the gallery. Mannequins were replaced by a live model and the public could come and observe the inner workings of a photographer at work and catch a behind the scenes glimpse at what goes down on a shoot. There was an opportunity to ask questions and see the exhibition turned into an active workspace.

Also working on the shoot as part of the team was make-up artist Britta Tess, Model Roksana from LOOK MODELS and one of our Quartier21 Artist in Residence, Emma Box. A selection of pieces featured in the exhibition from our representing designers were presented at the shoot including the work of Louise Gray, NOKI, Louise Amstrup, Emma Bell and Emma Box.

Hope you enjoy the images! We love them! Be sure to check out more of Alexander Jordan's work at www.alexanderjordan.co.uk and we look forward to welcoming you at our next special programme feature!

Kid's Workshops in Partnership with JEF!

Hello from Fish and Chips HQ!
It's been an incredibly busy week here at Fish and Chips, Twice Please?! Our first installment of our children's workshops in partnership with JEF went live on Monday. Kid's were offered free places to come and spend three days working in the gallery alongside our team and a couple of the designers to encourage team building, promote AIDs awareness and combat social exclusion.

UK based designer, Scott Ramsay Kyle, jetted into Vienna to host the workshops working alongside the exhibition's curators, Emma Bell and Polona Dolzan, and Viennese designer, Pebelle.
The kids were offered the opportunity to customise T-shirts, embroider, knit, sew, tie dye and create their own contribution to a patchwork which will be later exhibited within 'Fish and Chips, Twice Please?!' before being presented to the organisation Designers Against AIDS.
It was a very successful week complete with al fre
sco picnics here in the MQ, a live photoshoot, plenty of glittering, bejewelling and craft.
Scott Ramsay Kyle gave the guests and insight into his work as well as taught techniques and tips on embroidery and textile development whilst Pebelle helped the kids create unique tie dye effects.
The workshops were rounded off with a visit from Steffi from the Designers Against AIDS office in Belgium who received a preview of our wonderful contributions to the patchwork we are creating.
Check out some images taken by our current Quartier21 Artist in Residence and one of our showcasing contributors, Richard Bell.

Team Fish and Chips would like to say a massive thanks to JEF for supporting us in realising our concept for the children's workshops alongside Valentina, Chiara and Melanie for assisting us and acting as our wonderful translators. Huge thanks also go to Scott and Petra of Pebelle!
